Nobuyuki Sanada

Defender of the Sanada legacy

The rightful heir of the powerful Sanada clan from Shinano. Despite his soft-spoken manner, he has a strong sense of responsibility and makes decisions based firmly in reality. He serves the Takeda clan together with his younger brother Yukimura, but constantly worries about his brother’s reckless valor, and his tendency to rush bravely into the enemy lines.


Yoshitsugu Ōtani

Live on, old friend, and keep your faith!

A prodigious talent, who can sense the flow of the tide of the times

Originally from Ōmi, he goes to join Hideyoshi Toyotomi after serving the Azai clan. He has a broad view of things and does what he believes to be best for the land, but begins to change his way of thinking after meeting Takatora Tōdō and Mitsunari Ishida.

The heavens herald the coming of a true age of war.

Arch villain of the chaos

A daimyō from Yamato, he joins Nobunaga’s army upon the latter’s ascension to the capital. Well-versed in arts such as the tea ceremony, he pursues the destiny he sees in the stars, and looks to make it his own. He is confident in his talent and loathes any who would try to separate him from his ordained fate.

The jewel of Kantō

The daughter of the Sagami daimyō Ujiyasu Hōjō, she is a pure young woman who displays her refined upbringing. Along with her sense of purity and amiability, she possesses a hidden strength of character, making her well-liked amongst her brothers as well as her family’s retainers and the people at large.


Takakage Kobayakawa

Nobunaga’s way will not heal this country.

A man of merciful intellect

A daimyō from the Chūgoku region and the third son of Motonari Mōri, he is the ruler of the Kobayakawa clan. He inherited his father’s wisdom and uses it to help further the cause of the Mōri clan. He utilizes unique strategies on the battlefield that the average person would never even consider, but he tends to focus on those that minimize civilian casualties as opposed to delivering total victory.


Kojūrō Katakura

Fear not, Lord Masamune, for I have a plan.

The Date’s right-hand man

A daimyō from Mutsu and retainer of the Date clan, he is quite adept at strategy and is referred to as Kojūrō the Wise throughout the Date ranks. Having known his master Masamune since they were small children, he puts Masamune’s safety above all else, causing him to harshly admonish Masamune whenever he sets out on his many reckless endeavors.


Toyohisa Shimazu

The Shimazu will never give up!

The young lord of Satsuma

A hot-blooded member of the Shimazu clan from Satsuma. Always single-mindedly straightforward, he is determined to use his failures as a way to grow, causing him to sometimes take actions that can be thought of as reckless. He feels a great sense of obligation to his uncle, Yoshihiro, and is even willing to give his life for him if necessary.


Naotora Ii

Once in battle, the Ii clan refuses to back down from the enemy!

The graceful ruler of the Ii clan

The ruler of the Ii clan from Enshū that serves the Imagawa clan. With no male heirs to succeed the Ii clan, she takes on a male name and assumes leadership of the clan. Despite her concerns that she is not fit to rule, her compassion causes her to fight to deliver peace to Enshū.

I will bring misfortune raining down upon you.

A woman of ruinous beauty

A bewitching beauty who can often be found near powerful men. However, her motivations are her own, and she tends to show up on the battlefield at the most unexpected of times. She refers to herself as the maid of misfortune, and looks to bend the men of Shikoku to her will in an effort to subjugate the region.


Kagekatsu Uesugi

I must strive to do my best!

The reticent general

The son of Kenshin Uesugi’s sister Aya, he is later adopted by Kenshin himself. Not a man of many words, he prefers to let his actions speak for him. The constant wrinkles in his brow give him an intimidating air, but he is actually rather delicate. He trains diligently every day in order to live up to his father’s reputation as the God of War.


Takatora Tōdō

I must rise up before it is too late!

The emotionless blade of ice

After serving the Azai clan of Ōmi, he goes to serve Ieyasu Tokugawa. A man of power coming from humble beginnings, he shrewdly does whatever is necessary in order to survive. However, deep within his heart, he possesses intense feelings for his ruler and his friends.


Munenori Yagyū

I would rather not draw my sword if I don’t have to.

The gentle swordsman

The son of Sekishūsai Yagyū from Yamato, a swordsman of the Shinkage style of combat. Believing in the principles of kindness, plainness, and that the sword can be an instrument of life as well as death, he is a man that can be hard to deal with. Despite his calm and cool demeanor, he is lethally dangerous on the battlefield.
